Dr. Janice Coffey graduated from the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1988 and has been a practicing veterinarian in Adair County for over thirty years. Her practice originally served both large and small animals, but after the practice moved to 314 Hurt St. in 2008, the large animal medicine was phased out. Her practice now focuses on companion animal medicine with some limited services available for small exotics. Dr. Coffey loves all animals deeply and strives to provide excellent care at an affordable price. Dr. Coffey is a big fan of progressive medicine, and embraces new technology and new techniques aimed toward eliminating pain and treating underlying conditions, rather than masking symptoms. Dr. Coffey is a big proponent of the art of medicine: problem-solving and adjusting treatment tactics to offer targeted treatment plans for each patient. She is also a big proponent of passing on this art to future veterinarians, and likes to give hands-on training to pre-veterinary interns.
